I went to the Erlebnisbergwerk in Merkers with my class. It was a spectacular trip and its really worth a visit. Of course, you must wear a helmet and then you go underground in a very fast elevator. That was so exciting! After that, the guide led us to a car and we drove sown very quickly. That was so funny, but suddenly he stopped the car and said there will be an explosion. Everyone looked at the countdown but it wasn´t a real explosion.
Then we drove on and arrived at the Bergwerkshop. You can buy crystals and souvenirs there. The guide led us into a crystal cave and then lit the crystals in different colours. It was so beautiful!
Next, we went on the Bergwerkmuseum and we learned a lot. For Example: the mine was a gold store 1939. But you8 can also see devices with which these tunnels have been made save. But the best comes at last. We all drove to a big hall and the guide said that this is the hall where DSDS was filmed. Then he said that he has a surprise for us and we all were excited.
Suddenly we heard loud music and saw a beautiful light show with different colours. That was so cool! This is worth a visit and a must for everyone. Merkers is easy to find. You can go to it by bus. When you drive by car, you must drive over Hünfeld and then you drive over the villages of rasdorf, Buttlar and Vacha. The opening times are also good. Guides tours are from 9am to 4pm on Tuesday to Saturday but you have to be 10 years old. That means it isn’t for kids. The tickets are not expensive, but also not cheap. For adults it costs 28euros and for kids (from 10 to 18 years) it costs 19euros. This adventure is really worth a visit.
